Independent
We operate completely independently. Although we collaborate with suppliers and partners to fulfill projects, we are not tied to any specific parties. This allows us to guarantee the best solution for our clients. We have the freedom to choose the parties that best match the specific client requirements. This independence forms the foundation of our existence.
Connecting
Collaboration is the key to success and growth. We recognize the value of the existing knowledge within the industry. By connecting with a large and well-established network of both clients and suppliers/partners, we collectively build knowledge for the benefit of the customer.
Knowledge-driven
Our constant drive for innovation pushes us to stay informed, and even drive, new developments. Years of experience and in-depth knowledge are the foundation of every plan, recommendation, or innovative initiative. This pursuit of knowledge fuels our continuous growth.
Solution-oriented
The solution for our client is central throughout the entire process. We guide them and select the best parties and products that will contribute to achieving this solution. At Orance, the solution is leading, not the product, as we focus on the long term.
History
Developments in grow lighting are progressing at a rapid pace and have become a key part of our greenhouse horticulture history, as they made year-round cultivation of crops possible. In 1973, artificial lighting in greenhouses began, followed by the introduction of the first HPS lighting projects in 1990, known as assimilation lighting. The drive for sustainable cultivation and energy efficiency led to the rise of LED trials in 2008.
As a result of the energy crisis, there was a large-scale shift from HPS to LED. Since then, we have seen continuous innovation in LED technology. Since 2006, the founders of Orance have been closely following these developments, having worked at leading installation companies and major suppliers of HPS fixtures. They were even involved in the first LED trials and projects. In 2019, Arno and René took the step and founded Orance. Today, together with our team of specialists, we support horticultural entrepreneurs in transitioning from HPS to LED, guiding them through the complex and capital-intensive investment that comes with it.
